Our Special person is selected because we at AOTCE believe that their efforts in the community should not go without notice.  This quarter we highlight Paulette Berry-Fair, Program Director at the Kheprw Institute.

  • Became a widow in the 90's

  • Started Kheprw Institute with Imhotep Adidas in 2002

Biography

After becoming a widow in 1992, Paulette sought to continue the work of her husband, Turner Fair III who was a historian and author of two charts.  The company created around the two charts became Afri-Chart Products.  Paulette continues to work tirelessly to bring to the public the importance of a having a complete education, which includes African contributions to American history as well as World history.  Shortly after Paulette also began working with the Kheprw Insitute as one of it's directors. To read more about Afri-Chart Products click on the link.  http://africhartproducts.com/

The Kheprw Institute began as an idea by it's co-founder Imhotep Adisa.  Imhotep and Paulette created the Kheprw Institute as a response to the needs of the community.  The mission of the Kheprw Institute became as stated below.

 

  • The KI mantra is community empowerment through self-mastery. 

  • KI believes that a focus on self development can lead to fundamental community change.
