AOTCE: What would you like to say about your art in your terms.
Danielle: I love creating. I am so incredibly thankful God chose me and for what I've been given. I will keep pushing. I will keep reading, learning and exploring. I will write, I will film and I will photograph truths.
AOTCE: Finally, as we end the interview, what advice would you give to an aspiring filmmaker or photographer and what would you say to inspire other artists who may have given up on their dreams or put them on wait?
Danielle: Wow. First, Just do it. Don't think about it too long. Whatever idea you have, find the best way to execute it. Get a used camera. Borrow your Auntie's camcorder, your cousin's camera if you don't have any funds and do it. Don't wait on a soul. Nobody will put you on. Put yourself on. Create the content: upload it for others to see. Don't sit there and wait to see how many likes you get because that is all superficial. Your job is to create the work. So upload it and be on your way. Go create the next thing. And the next. And the next after that. You will get better. Stronger. Wiser. And study the greats. I cannot stress that enough. Study, Learn, Create, Collaborate.
I would say so much until they felt empowered: even if that took hours of talking, I would do it to encourage them. But I'd start by saying, "there's a seat at the table for all of us. Your seat is waiting for you. Today is the day to start again. What you have been given to do, only you can do-the ideas to be executed in such a way your mind processes the ideas through your creativity. Yes, it's tough but you have the strength or you wouldn't have been given that gift. Move out of the shadows of fear into the light. You will see that you are made of light. Shine.
I am thankful for being able to share my thoughts and vision. People see the work but rarely hear the reason. The personal stories of the artists helps others to understand how human we are and how the calling is a very real thing.
