In this issue of ARTISTS ON THE CUTTING EDGE

you will hear from young and seasoned artists alike.  Our featured artist Sydney G. James is making moves to elevate woman beyond what is seen as the norm.  Charlene Uresy takes her art beyond painting on canvas and  gives us beautiful furniture, and in the process we are provided a history lesson.  Then, we get to know that dancing has a long history and Ann Groggins-Hunter is the continuation of the art, in the form of Chicago Stepping.

Also, a continuation of our last quarters issue which included husband and wife, team both ceramic artists, Farraday Newsome and Jeff Reich.   Jeff and Farraday share a working devotion to the ceramic arts.  They offer all of us very sound advise about the route they each took to get to their art and what it takes to have longevity in it.

Jeff Cancelosi is a Photographer/Curator.  Jeff offers a glimpse into how a photographer can take his art and document a cities history through it's artists.

Emilie Beadle got her start in Hawaii by seeing the work of several artists then moving back home to Detroit.  Emilie offers us a view of her body of work.

There are other voices to read about and each one offers a valuable lesson about their individual journey on becoming an artist.

Enjoy!
